Five Fashion Must Haves

Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy

So I was watching a segment on The Today Show that illustrated the 5 Fashion Must Haves for any girl's closet. So let's see...

1. The Dress. Check
Mine is not a little black dress but a little blue silk one that I adore.
2. Statement Jewelry. Check
I am obsessed with large cocktail rings. Hence my repeated blog posts on my favorites from Tiffany's. I can't afford them though. As I've said in the past, it's like taking a bullet every time I get notifications of their latest collections. :)
3. The Perfect Jeans. Check.
I love my 7 for All Mankind Crystal Jeans. Only I seem to appreciate the peridot crystal design on my hips, but they fit me like a glove and they are sooo comfortable.
4. The Bag. Um, check, check!
I own a handbag boutique. Enough said. :)
5. Shoes. Er, um...yeah, I got nothing.
I have never been a shoe girl. Ever. Boots, yes. Carrie Bradshaw shoe fanatic..no. Not even close. I happily wear my flat black sandals from Payless all summer long. But if I were a shoe girl, I would buy them from Izzy Magie because I adore Suzi the owner. She has fabulous shoes. If you haven't shopped with her, be sure to check her shoe boutique.

My New Discovery...Glass Jewelry

Curly Q Pendant with Silver Chain $39

For jewelry, you'll normally find me wearing either Adina Reyter or something from my vintage collection. I was recently introduced however to Glass Jewelry from Jill who owns Glass Jillery. We got to talking one day and I happened to learn she makes glass jewelry, mainly pendants. The piece she was wearing was absolutely stunning. So she shared with me her current collection and I was hooked! I had such a hard time deciding which piece to be my very first. It was a square pendant with the most brilliant blue hue. I'll get a picture soon and upload it. I have worn the piece many times in the short time that I have owned it and every day I do, several people as me where I got it. So I wanted to dedicate a post to let everyone know about Glass Jillery.

Right now Jill's collection is limited to Etsy and trade shows, but she is currently working on expanding her online store. I also learned that she will custom create a piece just for you. If you're looking for a specific size, color or style, just let her know. You won't be disappointed. Her price points are also quite affordable as I have yet to see a piece over $39 and that includes the chain.

Sunrise Pendant with Silver Chain $35

Here's a piece I wanted share. Citrus hues are hot right now and this piece exudes in the current trend. If you want to embrace these bold hues but are worried about going overboard, then adding this piece to your ensemble would be the perfect way to capture the trend. Jill also currently has some amazing chocolate and mint color combinations on her Etsy site. Be sure to take a peek.

So thanks Jill! I love my necklace and hope this post helps others find you!

Fashion Finds Eva Longoria Style

Eva Longoria (source)

Bright bold colors are in from your lips down to your toes and of course every accessory in between! A while back I had posted about Eva's Francine Handbag from Coach. While I do like structured bags, the color is what really struck me.

As I look around the boutique here for a more affordable option for myself, I'm torn between three totally different looks and textures but all similar in that grand color. So which one would you choose?

DINZ Line by Adina Reyter at shopdistinction.com

At shopdistinction.com, we love all things Adina Reyter and that includes her latest collection called DINZ. Her DINZ line was created to offer us frugal fashionistas an unbelievable, vintage looking, sophisticated style at a tremendous value! These amazing pieces are all under $65!

While we have her entire DINZ Line available at shopdistinction.com, here is my personal favorite. It's the Elsie Large Link Vintage Bracelet. I was just telling one of the gals I work with at Adina that my grandmother's name was Elsie. This bracelet would have fit her to a tee. It is as beautiful, classy and stylish as she was. And at under $45, what's not to love?
